Meghan Markle celebrated her birthday in style.
The Duchess of Sussex rang in her 38th birthday on August 4th, and according to royal reporter Omid Scobie, Markle enjoyed a carrot cake on her big day.
But it wasn’t just any ordinary carrot cake, the dessert from London’s Luminary Bakery was featured in in the “Forces of Change” September issue of British Vogue, which Markle acted as guest editor, as the establishment is dedicated to empowering vulnerable women.
“Luminary Bakery really wanted to be part of Meghan’s special day and the couple were delighted when they heard they wanted to make a cake,” Scobie told ET Canada. “Courier delivery to Windsor was arranged for Sunday morning and I hear they had a lovely day celebrating at home- with that delicious cake.”
The cake, which embraced the minimal frosting trend, read “Happy Birthday Meghan” in icing with a couple of orange slices and green sprigs as decorations. Candles were later added for the Duchess to blow out.
August 4 was the first birthday Markle has celebrated since welcoming son Archie in May with husband Prince Harry.
