The highly anticipated first look at Greta Gerwig’s “Little Women” remake is finally here.
In the brand new full-length trailer fans get a look at Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh and Eliza Scanlen as the March sisters, as they come of age in America in the aftermath of the Civil War based on the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott.
The star-studded feature also stars Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, Laura Dern, Chris Cooper, Louis Garrel Tracy Letts, James Norton and Bob Odenkirk.
“We wanted it to feel like the movie feels, which is both classical and fresh,” the “Lady Bird” director said about the trailer. “We wanted it to feel light on its feet. And even though it does take place in the 19th century, we in no way wanted it to feel like it was something that was past. We wanted it to feel like it was present right now.”
The flick also reunites Gerwig with her “Lady Bird” cast, including Ronan and Chalamet.
“Little Women” hits big screens on Dec. 25.
