The Mountain From ‘Game Of Thrones’ Uses Ed Sheeran As A Barbell

Ed Sheeran finds himself hoisted over The Mountain.

“Game of Thrones” star Hafþór Björnsson, best known as the violent behemoth Gregor Clegane, recently ran into his co-star Ed Sheeran. The “Shape of You” singer famously had a cameo as a Lannister soldier in season seven.

During their encounter, Björnsson showed off his power by hoisting Sheeran over his head and performing a military press. “He asked for it,” wrote Björnsson. “Luckily I didn’t drop him… he has to work tonight!”

Fellow “GoT” alum Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) commented on Björnsson’s video. You did this to me at that wrap party in Spain, remember?” she asked. “LOL.”

It turns out these sort of displays of strength are regularly requested by “GoT” fans. “I get a lot of requests fans asking if I want to squeeze their eyes,” he previously told Entertainment Weekly. “That’s very popular. Or pick them up overhead.”

“But the most popular to squeeze their eyes out,” he continued. “I don’t lift anyone… I have had to say no because if I’m going to lift one person then so many others are going to ask to be lifted too. If it’s just one person, okay.”
