On Global’s “The Late Show” Tuesday night, the host brought back his news segment “Meanwhile”, and the first story was about a viral video of a pneumatic tube device for transporting fish over dams.

“The device is known as the Salmon Cannon,” Colbert said, “which narrowly beat out the Gill Gun, the Trout Spout, the Bass Blaster, and, of course, the Flinging Nemo.”

Colbert also joked about the name of the company, Wooshh Innovations, which created the device.

Later, while discussing U.S. gymnast Simone Biles’ recent history-making championship performance, Colbert joked, “No other gymnast in the world can do that without being shot out of a Salmon Cannon.”

“The Late Show” airs weeknights at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Global.
