The cast of “BH90210” are pocketing a pretty penny but it may not be as much as some fans or experts estimated.
The stars of the “Beverly Hills, 90210” revival — Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Gabrielle Carteris, Shannen Doherty, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green, and Ian Ziering — made $70,000 an episode, sources told The Hollywood Reporter.
Across six episodes, this translates to a base salary of $420,000 for the “event series”. A number of the leads, however, assumed additional roles, which equate to a bigger payday.
Garth and Spelling will receive an additional $15,000 an episode fee for co-creating “BH90210” alongside showrunners Mike Chessler and Chris Alberghini. Priestley made an extra $46,000 for directing one episode — the standard primetime network rate as set by the Directors Guild of America.
“I thought they would have made at least six figures” an episode, a big talent agent told the publication. For comparison, the original four stars of “Will & Grace” made $250,000 an episode for the season-1 revival. That was bumped to $350,000 for seasons 2 and 3.
“BH90210” premiered August 7 on Fox and now ranks as Fox’s most-streamed summer debut ever.
