The 1975 Singer Matt Healy Kisses Man At Concert In Protest Of Dubai Homosexuality Ban

Matt Healy defied anti-gay laws in Dubai with a very public kiss.

At a concert in Dubai on Wednesday, the singer for The 1975 at one point went down into the crowd and locked lips with a man.

“I love you bro. We’re all human, right?” he said, after returning to the stage. “If you’re gay, I love you and God f**king loves you.”

The United Arab Emirates has banned homosexual sex, and according to the BBC, any display of homosexual public affection are frowned upon.

After the concert, Healy took to Twitter to thank the audience, and suggested the band may not be allowed back in the country.

Footage of the kiss posted to Twitter was later removed.
