Just when we thought things couldn’t become more complicated for the titular protagonist of “Ray Donovan” (played by Liev Schreiber) comes a new trailer for the upcoming seventh season to prove us wrong.
After a brief recap of what took place in last season’s finale, the new trailer reveals that Ray is working hard to become the man his family needs him to be, while his fugitive father, Mickey (Jon Voight) is back behind bars.
Meanwhile, Ray’s brother Terry (Eddie Marsan) is set to embark on an “unconventional healing opportunity” in hopes of treating his Parkinson’s disease.
In addition, the upcoming season will be adding a few new actors in recurring roles, including Josh Hamilton (“13 Reasons Why”) as billionaire mogul Kevin Sullivan, whose shady business dealings will be keeping Ray busy, while Kerry Condon (“Better Call Saul”) will play Sullivan’s sister, manager of her brother’s businesses.
Also joining the new season is Louisa Krause (“The Girlfriend Experience”) as an alternative medicine practitioner who works with Terry, while “M*A*S*H” icon Alan Alda will be returning as Ray’s shrink, as will Zach Grenier as the corrupt mayor of NYC.
The new season of “Ray Donovan” premieres on Sunday, Nov. 17.
