After recently announcing her entry into the cannabis industry, lifestyle guru Martha Stewart is heading to Toronto to talk about her new role with Canopy Growth.
It all started when her marijuana aficionado pal Snoop Dogg introduced her to Canadian cannabis giant. The duo baked brownies together on “The Martha Stewart Show” back in 2015 and she had hinted that he could add a little weed to the recipe.
In February, the entrepreneur teamed up with Canopy Growth in an advisory role to help develop a new line of products. At the time, the company said it would use Stewart’s knowledge of consumer products while exploring the effectiveness of hemp-derived CBD and other cannabinoids as they relate to both humans and pets.
Taking it a step further, earlier this week Stewart revealed she is actually launching her own brand of cannabis-based cosmetics, food and animal care products with the company.
Stewart will be joining Mark Zekulin of Canopy Growth on the Main Stage at Canada’s leading tech festival, Elevate.
They will chat with Elevate CEO Razor Suleman all about the global growth of Canopy, as well as the holistic benefits of cannabis products.
Elevate will be in Toronto from Sept. 20-26. Tickets can be purchased here.
Stewart was in New Brunswick at a Cannabis conference back in June 2019 to offer business advice to cannabis industry leaders.
