Lilly Singh is embarking on a brave new journey to late-night and she has a map for how to navigate it.

The Canadian internet sensation will make her late-night debut on NBC and Global‘s “A Little Late with Lilly Singh”. Ahead of the big premiere, Singh speaks with The Hollywood Reporter.

“I’m going to do what I’ve always done, which is make something that I think is good, that is authentic to me,” she says. “That’s what has gotten me my success thus far.”

Singh also gives an update on the future of her YouTube channel. “When it feels right, I’ll stop. I very much view social media as a storytelling tool for my job. I don’t view it as part of who I am.”

Singh, 30, also touches on coming out as bisexual. “It’s not that I had this big secret. Because of the culture I was raised in, I never actually allowed myself to figure things out.”

“Moving to L.A., I was exposed to so many different types of people, and I think that probably opened up my horizons.”

The crossover star also explains why she keeps her romantic partners out of the spotlight. “I’ve signed up for this life, but not everyone has.”

“A Little Late with Lilly Singh” premieres Sept. 16.
