Angelia Jolie’s eldest son is off to university.
Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 18, is in his freshman year at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. The “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” star was recently spotted with Maddox at the school’s campus.
School officials gave Jolie and Maddox a tour of Yonsei University, as documented in photos published by People, where Maddox will be studying biochemistry.
“He got accepted to other universities but choose Yonsei,” a source told the publication. “He has been studying Korean language. He has lessons multiple times a week to prepare.”
Maddox will be far away from his home in the U.S., but will be close to his family in Cambodia.
“He’s very close to his siblings and they all hope to visit,” the insider said of Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Jolie was then seen telling people “I’m trying not to cry” as she spoke to other students in one social media clip.
Yonsei University first opened as a private research institute in 1885, before the doors were opened to students in 1957.
