Snoop Dogg holds the late Nipsey Hussle in high regard.
The “Gin and Juice” rapper has often praised Hussle before and following his untimely passing in late March at age 31.
“It really, really broke my heart. Like for real,” Dogg said about Hussle’s death about 20-minutes into the interview with “The Breakfast Club”. “What [Nipsey] stood for was stopping the gang violence. He was from 60 Crip but he loved gang members. He loved Bloods. He loved YG.”
“The bond he had with the ‘hood — different neighbourhoods — was impeccable,” he continued. “He was like a street soldier.” Dogg has compared Hussle to Jesus Christ in the past. He made another comparison when visiting “The Breakfast Club”.
“The spirit Nipsey had was the spirit 2Pac had as far as being up close and personal with the people,” Snoop explained. “I think Nipsey did what Tupac couldn’t do… he don’t rap like him, but he moved like him.”
Hussle was fatally shot outside his store “Marathon Clothing” in South Los Angeles on March 31.
