BTS fever has a stranglehold on the music industry and now the K-Pop group continues to expand its presence on television.
A new TV series about K-Pop group BTS is in the works. The show will depict how the seven members of BTS met and climbed to the peak of the music industry worldwide.
Members V, J-Hope, RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook and Suga will not star in the series, however. Instead, young actors will be cast to play young versions of BTS.
“Storytelling will be expanded in stages to include artists in our multi-label organization,” Bang Si-hyuk, founder and co-CEO of Big Hit Entertainment, said at a press conference, reports Entertainment Weekly.
“Big Hit is currently preparing a drama series together with a leading Korean production company based on the Bangtan Universe, slated for release in the second half of 2020,” Si-hyuk continued. “It will be a story set in the BU about how the seven boys first met.”
BTS recently announced they will be taking a much-needed sabbatical, their first since debuting as a group.
