While Edward Norton has had a long and successful acting career, even earning himself three Oscar nominations, it’s been quite some time since we’ve seen him in a lead role.
Recently, the 50-year-old has taken on a cameo in “Alita: Battle Angel” and the voice of Rex in “Isle of Dogs”, however he hasn’t seen the centre stage since 2012’s “The Bourne Legacy.”
All of this is changing though, thanks to his upcoming crime drama “Motherless Brooklyn” in which he will play lead character, private investigator Lionel Essrog.
“Motherless Brooklyn” is based off of the novel of the same name and set in the 1950s. It follows Norton’s character as he becomes involved in a dangerous investigation, while struggling with Tourette’s syndrome as he’s dealt numerous shocking twists and turns.
The newly released trailer showcases the rest of the A-list cast, including Bruce Willis, Alec Baldwin, Willem Dafoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
The film, which was also produced, directed and written by Norton, will hit theatres on Nov.1 after premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival.
