Musical phenomenon Walk Off The Earth released their new uplifting pop single “I’ll Be There” on Friday.
The new music comes after a particularly difficult year for the band. In late 2018, Walk Off The Earth faced an unexpected loss with the sudden death of band member Mike “Beard Guy” Taylor. The band, which now consists of Sarah Blackwood, Gianni Luminati, Joel Cassady and Ryan Marshall, honoured their late friend in May of this year with a song called “Mike’s Song.”
Along with the debut of a new single, the multi-platinum Juno Award winners also announced a new album on Friday. While they’ve yet to release the name of the album, it is due out on Oct. 25, 2019. This will be their seventh studio album.
Walk Off The Earth is known for their creative covers and unique use of different instruments. They rose to fame back in 2012 when they covered Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” with all five band members playing one guitar.
“I’ll Be There” is now available on all music streaming services and fans can expect to hear it live on the band’s upcoming tour listed below.
