Ellen DeGeneres has always been generous to her fans, but the daytime talk show queen wants everyone to know that a wave on social media posts offering huge giveaways emanating from her Instagram account Thursday night were fake.

DeGeneres’ Instagram followers noticed something was amiss when numerous posts began being issued from her account promising giveaways of all sorts of merchandise, including 2,000 iPhones, 1,000 MacBooks, 900 Apple watches and 30 Tesla cars, along with PlayStation and Xbox gift cards.

While the posts have since been deleted, some of her followers were able to archive screenshots that they shared on social media.

On Friday morning, the 61-year-old comedian took to Twitter to reveal she was the victim of cyberfraud, telling her followers that her account was hacked.

“We apologize, and we thank everyone who brought it to our attention,” she wrote. “I’m going back to sleep now.”
