‘Joker’ Star Marc Maron Thinks Comic Book Movies Are ‘For Grown, Male Nerd Childs’

Turns out Marc Maron is not a fan of comic books made into movies.

While on “Conan” the actor and comedian admitted that he hasn’t seen the newest “Avengers” film.

“I didn’t see [‘Endgame’]. I’m proud of that, but no one cares,” said Maron.

“I have some issues with them and I generally don’t like them,” he continued. “I don’t want to be bullied into seeing those movies. I’m a grown-up. I’m not seven. And I think those movies are for grown, male nerd childs.”

Despite the audience being less than impressed by Maron’s statement, he went on. “I have to travel 20 to 30 minutes to a smaller theatre to see a grown-up movie with other grown-ups, where we can all sit together and not understand the ending,” Maron joked. “That’s part of the experience.”

While Maron said he doesn’t want to “be bullied” into seeing comic book movies, he does star in the upcoming “Joker” film about the Batman villain.

Guess that doesn’t count.
