New Jersey’s finest brought the 2019 MTV VMAs to an epic close Monday night.

Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature, Redman, Fetty Wap, and Wyclef Jean belted out a medley of their greatest hits at the star-studded bash, which was held at Newark’s Prudential Center.

Ice-T, who was born in Newark, told the audience ahead of the performance: “Hip hop may have been born in the Bronx, but it was raised across the river, right here in New Jersey.”

He also said the musicians on stage “helped create hip-hop culture and changed the game — not just in Jersey, but all over the world.”
