Ed Sheeran is cashing in big.
The “Shape of You” singer has officially set the all-time record for highest-grossing tour following the conclusion of his Divide tour. Sheeran, 28, travelled the globe and headlined concerts from March 16, 2017 to August 26, 2019.
Sheeran’s Divide tour generated a massive $775.6 million, according to Pollstar. The previous record was held by U2’s 360 tour ($735.3 million). Sheeran also sold a record-breaking 9 million tickets.
There were a remarkable 14 legs to the tour. Sheeran performed a grand total of 260 shows across six continents, including 117 in Europe and four in Africa.
