Brie Larson Shares Soulful Cover Of Miley Cyrus’ ‘Slide Away’, Belts Out Normani’s ‘Motivation’

Somebody needs to cast Brie Larson in a movie musical.

The “Captain Marvel” star has been showcasing her singing on social media in recent weeks, and on Tuesday she took to her Instagram Stories to deliver an amazing performance of a Miley Cyrus cover.

Accompanying herself on electric guitar, Larson, 29, performed Cyrus’ “Slide Away”, singing, “Once upon a time, it was paradise / Once upon a time, I was paralyzed / Think I’m gonna miss these harbour lights / But it’s time to let it go / Once upon a time, it was made for us / Woke up one day, it had turned to dust / Baby, we were found, but now we’re lost / So it’s time to let it go.”

She then belted out Normani’s “Motivation” in another clip shared on her Instagram Story.

Larson is no dilettante when it comes to music; she was signed to a record deal when she was just 15, and in 2005 released her debut (and for now, only) album, Finally Out of P.E.
