Monday marked 23 years to the day that television viewers were introduced to the Camdens on “7th Heaven”, the long-running family drama about a California pastor (Stephen Collins), his wife (Catherine Hicks), and their five children, played by Jessica Biel, Mackenzie Rosman, Barry Watson, David Gallagher and Beverley Mitchell.
On Thursday, Mitchell took to Instagram to share the anniversary with her followers — along with floating a trial balloon to judge interest in a revival.
“#tbt 23 years ago this week #7thHeaven premiered,” she wrote alongside several photos of the cast.
“Thank you for letting the #Camdens be a part of your family! I am honoured to have brought #LucyCamden to life! And I will be forever grateful for the family it gave me! I love you always,” she added.
Tagging her castmates, Mitchell ended her post by writing, “Now if only we could get a reboot! Would you be down to watch?”

Judging from the comments Mitchell received, fans certainly would be down to watch, including former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky, revealing her grandmother was a “7th Heaven” superfan.
At least one of Mitchell’s TV sisters would also support a reboot, with Rosman writing, “💖💖💖 Camdens unite! #bestwaytogrowup #tvfamilyforever.”
If the show does get rebooted, it will very likely be without Camden patriarch Eric. In 2014 an audiotape recorded during a 2012 marital counselling session involving Collins and his then-wife was released on which he confesses to molesting an 11-year-old girl.
“I put her hand on my penis,” Collins can be heard saying on the tape before detailing the disturbing incident; he avoided prosecution due to the statute of limitations, given how much time had passed since the incident.
In 2016, Hicks — who played Eric’s wife, Annie — was approached by TMZ about her thoughts on a reboot, and did not hold back about her disgust for her former TV hubby.
“You know, I don’t know… I mean, we’d have to open with Stephen’s coffin,” she said with a laugh. “I think we’d all love to be together… with a new boyfriend for Annie.”
