Thank heavens for SZA.
The “Power Is Power” singer is being commended online for a kind act she did in 2017. Venture Communications CEO Arlene Dickinson recently tweeted, “What’s the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you?”
Cue Leah Javon, a SZA fan with a remarkable story. As Javon tells it, she was in desperate need for medical aid and SZA intervened. “SZA gave me her phone number [and] got me into two concerts of hers free and on tour bus,” Leah tweeted.
“[She] sent me and my wife to Universal Studios before I started chemo, helped me pay for chemo,” Javon continued. “[She] donated money (which will remain undisclosed), shared my fundraiser several times and helped find me a kidney.”
And the math checks out. On New Year’s Eve 2017, SZA did indeed reach out to her fans to help Javon. “My angel @leahjavon is now experiencing multiple organ failure and is in DESPERATE need of a kidney AND liver!” SZA tweeted.
