Is it ever too early to start listening to holiday music?
Mariah Carey thinks so, and the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer laid down the law when she responded to a tweet from fellow singer Katharine McPhee.
On Tuesday, McPhee, 35, tweeted a video of herself in a car while lip-syncing Carey’s enduring holiday hit.

“Summer is OFFICIALLY over,” she wrote in the caption. “@MariahCarey, is it time?”
Later that same day, Carey, 49, responded: “Not yet! Let’s get through Halloween first.”

McPhee had the perfect response, agreeing to abide by the rule but joking, “I’ll be blasting it secretly in my car anyway.”
