Marie Osmond and brother Donny sat down for an in-depth interview with “CBS Sunday Morning”, and the 59-year-old singer opened up about her late son Michael, who took his own life in 2010.
“You know, I don’t think you’re ever through it,” she admitted.
“I think God gives you respites, and then all of a sudden it’ll hit you like the day it did,” Osmond continued. “The ripple effect is so huge, what you leave behind.”

Osmond addressed her son’s death in a 2010 interview with Oprah Wnfrey.
“I’ve been through some tough things in my life. This is probably the hardest thing I’ve been through,” Osmond admitted.
Asked if she ever wondered about what she could have done differently to help him, she said: “I think there’s always ‘what ifs.’ What if I had just put him on a plane and said ‘Come be with me’ or gone there? I think if you live life in ‘what ifs’… you stop living.”
