The film centres upon Jojo “Rabbit” Betzler (Roman Griffin Davis), a young and lonely boy in Nazi Germany. His imagination comes to the rescue as he dreams up the perfect ally and role model: Hitler.

Then Jojo finds that his mother Rosie (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic.

Waititi portrays Hilter a la “The Producers”, complete with an updated uniform, childish charm, and unexpected postures. However, when the actor donned the dictator’s uniform, he was underwhelmed with how he looked, or as he put it: “horrible” and “embarrassed.”
