It was the premiere of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and the singer turned host got a bit of help from Steve Carell to open the show.
Getting back to his “40 Year Old Virgin” roots, Carell stepped up to the mic, saying, “Live on tape from Universal Studios in Hollywood, ladies and gentleman, ahhhhh, Kelly Clarkson.”

The quote was a play on the scene in the film where Carell’s character yells out Clarkson’s name in pain while getting his chest waxed.
