He may only be 12 years old, but singer Luke Islam has some big dreams, and one day sees himself performing on Broadway.
Returning to the stage of “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday night, the singing phenom appeared to be one step closer to making his dreams come true after a stunning, crowd-pleasing performance of “Never Enough” from the big-screen musical “The Greatest Showman”
Sporting a maroon tuxedo while singing atop a large platform on the stage, the youngster’s performance resulted in a standing ovation from the “AGT” audience.
He also earned high praise from judge Julianne Hough, who awarded him her Golden Buzzer earlier in the season.
“I feel like a proud mama right now!” she told him.
While Hough’s fellow judge Howie Mandel admitted it’s impossible to predict which of the numerous talented performers will make it to next week’s finals, he said he’s confident in one thing: that Islam will one day be performing on Broadway.
Viewers will learn whether he makes it through on Wednesday night’s “AGT” results show; until then, check out the amazing performance from earlier in the season that earned him Hough’s Golden Buzzer:
