Kristin Cavallari made some changes to her staff after an Instagram post about 9/11 was posted without a pre-approved caption.
The “Very Cavallari” star was labelled “insensitive”, among other things, when the post in question, featuring Cavallari in New York City posing for the camera in a low-cut black dress, was posted with the caption, “NYC for 24hrs. And what a time to be here… always remember.”
According to Page Six, who received a statement from the reality star, “a staffer was fired” but no further details were revealed. “24 hours in New York City,” was the pre-approved caption but that’s not what ended up on her page.
Wednesday marked 18 years since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
“This is super insensitive,” one commenter wrote on Cavallari’s post before another added, “I love you and think that you are generally spot-on in the things that you choose to present, but this is just disrespectful and undermining to the magnitude of the events that occurred on that horrific day.”
Another fan said, “Sorry… did you want us not to forget about the dress or the significance of September 11th?”
The caption was eventually changed to read simply “NYC for 24hrs.”
