Iconic comedian Phil Hartman is getting a primetime special about his life and death.
ABC released a trailer for the upcoming release of “The Last Days Of Phil Hartman”. The “Saturday Night Live” alum famously impersonated Bill Clinton, voiced Troy McClure on “The Simpsons” and starred on “NewsRadio”.
On May 28, 1998, Hartman was fatally shot by his wife, Brynn, before she took her own life. “The Last Days of Phil Hartman” is a two-hour primetime special detailing his life, legacy and death.
The special features interviews with Hartman’s “SNL” co-star Julia Sweeney, “NewsRadio” co-star Andy Dick, “The Simpsons” executive producer Al Jean and former Los Angeles Police Sergeant Daniel Carnahan, among others.
“The Last Days Of Phil Hartman” premieres Sept. 19.
