Two of Hollywood’s biggest stars are coming together for a good cause.
Justin Timberlake and Tiger Woods are joining forces to set up a fund providing aid and relief for victims of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. The Royal Bank of Canada, Nexus and a Bahamian resort joined in the relief effort.
“As a strong believer in philanthropy and teamwork, I’m excited to partner with my friends Justin Timberlake, #NEXUSLuxuryCollection, @rbc and @albanybahamas to establish the ONE Bahamas Fund in support of Hurricane Dorian relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts,” Woods said in a series of tweets.
Not only have Woods, Timberlake and the relief partners already donated $6 million, but they promise to match donations made by the public.
Woods added, “Help us turn this first $6 million into $12 million, and join our efforts to restore and rebuild The Bahamas.”
Timberlake and Woods aren’t the only celebrities helping out, Michael Jordan has pledged to give $1 million while Tom Brady has appealed online for donations to another relief fund. “Real Housewives Of New York City” alum Bethenny Franklin has also been active on the ground in the Bahamas with her non-profit BStrong.
