Kelly Clarkson Dishes On Taylor Swift Joining ‘The Voice’ As A ‘Mega Mentor’

Taylor Swift is returning to her role as “mega mentor” on “The Voice”.

It has been announced by the hit singing competition that season 17 will be bigger than ever with bigger mentors, including Swift.

“The Voice” tweeted out a teaser video of coaches John Legend and Blake Shelton discussing the surprise “mega mentor” when Swift walks by, taking the pair a few seconds to realize their new mentor is the “Lover” singer.

In her new position, Swift will join coaches Shelton, Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Gwen Stefani help prepare the contestants for the knockout rounds.

Clarkson told People Swift is very passionate about her role as a mentor. “She cares about the artists — that’s what I loved about working with her the first time,” she said. “I loved that she actually cared and invested. She cried a couple of times. She was really into it.”

Swift previously acted as “mega mentor” during season 7. Normani,, Usher, and Darius Rucker are also mentors this year.

Season 17 of “The Voice” premieres later this month.
