Lilly Singh Talks To Jimmy Fallon About The ‘Learning Curve’ Of Hosting Her Own Late-Night Show

Lilly Singh is the bright new face of late-night TV, and she’s had a lot to learn.

The Canadian YouTuber launched her new Global show “A Little Late with Lilly Singh” on Monday, and also stopped by “The Tonight Show” to talk to Jimmy Fallon about her big night.

“The learning curve goes both ways. So I’m learning about unions and rules and laws,” Singh said, “and they are learning about a female late-night host!”

One of Singh’s wilder experiences was getting fitted for the array of suits she will wear on the show.

“It was suggested to me that I should do a single fitting for all 96 outfits,” she explained. “That would be like a four-day fitting!”

But while her wardrobe was all taken care of by the network, that didn’t extend to other aspects of her beauty routine.

“I was told that there’s not a budget for a manicure, like, to get my nails done, because the other late-night hosts don’t have one!” she said.

Fallon joked, “Why don’t I have one! I want a mani-pedi!”

Tune in to new episodes of “A Little Late with Lilly Singh” weeknights at 12:37 a.m. ET/PT on Global.
