“America’s Got Talent” is welcoming the finalists back to the stage one last time before crowning this season’s champion in Wednesday’s grand finale, and the show was kicked off by crowd-pleasing Indian dance crew V.Unbeatable.
In an emotional pre-taped video, the crew discussed how their name serves to honour a dancer named Vikas, who co-founded V.Unbeatable but tragically died due to an accident during a rehearsal.
“We never perform without his name on our backs, which why he will always be the V in V.Unbeatable,” explained a member of the group.
With that, the crew unleashed arguably its fieriest performance to date, featuring high-flying jumps, daredevil stunts and their always-impeccable choreography, and to say the judges were impressed is an understatement.
“I have never seen anything like this,” exclaimed Howie Mandel, while fellow judge Gabrielle Union echoed, “That was un-freaking-believable!”
“I mean, my mind is exploding!” added Julianne Hough. “You absolutely crushed it… you can fly, you can float, you can do it all. It’s unbelievable.”
As always, the final word went to Simon Cowell. “Rarely do we see an act in the first audition do something as good in the finals,” he declared. “That would have been a Golden Buzzer.”
The winner of this season of “AGT” will be revealed in Wednesday’s season finale.
