Will Smith surprises three inspirational high school students on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Friday.
DeGeneres welcomes 14-year-old Kristopher Graham and 16-year-old Antwain Garrett to the show, along with their classmate 14-year-old Micheal Todd from Memphis, Tennessee.
The host explains how Todd was being bullied for wearing the same clothes every day; Graham and Garrett surprised him with new ones in a video that has since gone viral.
Smith tells the trio after watching the clip with his wife Jada, “[I thought] there is no way I’m letting this pass without making contact with these kids.
“What you did felt small to you but I promise you, that is exactly how human beings are supposed to interact with each other.”
He then hands them a bag of gear from his upcoming merch line, along with some New Balance sneakers. The actor announces New Balance will also be donating gear to all the students at MLK College Preparatory High School.
DeGeneres keeps the surprises coming by giving the boys $10,000 each, courtesy of Shutterfly.
