Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Donate $5,000 For Swimming Pool In Baby Archie’s Name

Little Archie Harrison may only be a baby, but he’s already getting charitable.

Harper’s Bazaar reports that his mom Meghan Markle and dad Prince Harry secretly donated roughly $5,000 to help build a swimming pool in Guinjata Bay, Mozambique, all in Archie’s name.

The pool will be used to help teach locals how to swim in order to combat the high rate of drownings in the area.

The royals made the donation after Markle reportedly stumbled on the fundraiser’s JustGiving.com page through Instagram.

Adam Knight, swim coach and partner with marine conservation non-profit Love the Oceans, told Harper’s Bazaar that the staff were “blown away” by the donation, which helped them reach their fundraising target.

“I said to my colleague, ‘That has to be Harry and Meghan,'” Knight said. “We made some calls and were able to verify that it was from them, which is just incredible. Without that donation and support this would not be happening.”
