The flick will be based on Charles Dickens’ 1843 novel, about the Christmas-hating Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, but with a musical twist.

“The Christmas Carol” has been remade into a number of film adaptations over the years, including Bill Murray’s 1988 “Scrooged”, 1992’s The Muppet Christmas Carol and 2004’s “A Christmas Carol” starring Kelsey Grammer, Jason Alexander and Jane Krakowski.
