“Downton Abbey” fans eager to see the new movie got a once-in-a-lifetime treat.

The film’s stars — Michelle Dockery, Elizabeth McGovern, Allen Leech and Hugh Bonneville — along with director Michael Engler, creator Julian Fellowes and producer Gareth Neame were present at Thursday’s Los Angeles premiere at Landmark theatre.
“It’s opening night of the Downton Abbey film here in LA and me and my friends are here to surprise an audience,” Dockery, 37, shared on her Instagram Story. “Don’t tell them!”
Two special V.I.P guests also attended the “Downton Abbey” movie premiere: “Queer Eye” star Tan France and “One Tree Hill” actress Sophia Bush.

“Downton Abbey” the movie premieres Sept. 20 in North America and has already gotten rave reviews following its U.K. premiere last week.
