Response in Bachelor Nation has been decidedly mixed about ABC’s announcement that Peter Weber will be the man at the centre of the next edition of “The Bachelor”.
One person who is not so thrilled by the choice is Ashley Iaconetti, who’s appeared on “The Bachelor”, “Bachelor in Paradise” and “Bachelor Winter Games”.
On Saturday, the 31-year-old reality TV personality spoke with People while attending the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
“I’ll be honest, I feel like I have not for quite some time felt so detached from a choice for the Bachelor,” Iaconetti admitted.
“He was very nice on his season, but I don’t know that I know him very well. He’s just been sweet and lovely, but I don’t know him,” she said.
“I’m actually a little disappointed, but like, that’s no offence to Peter,” Iaconetti added.
Also on hand at the iHeartRadio Music Festival was Iaconetti’s husband (and fellow “Bachelor” franchise alum) Jared Haibon, who revealed he had been expecting fan-favourite Mike Johnson to be selected.
“I’m a little shocked that he’s not the Bachelor,” Haibon said of Johnson, adding, “I’m not doubting the choice.”
“I’m not doubting either,” Iaconetti chimed in. “I’m sure it’s going to be a fantastic season.”
