Will Smith is getting real about his relationship with food and alcohol.
The actor, 50, called an “emergency family meeting” episode of his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and mother-in-law, Adrienne Banfield-Jones’ Facebook Watch series “Red Table Talk” and discussed how he got the family to embrace a new outlook on health.
Jada and Will were joined by their children Willow, 18, and Jaden, 21, Will’s oldest son Trey, 26 (from his marriage to Sheree Zampino), and Banfield-Jones.
After chatting about their recent family vacation during which Will spent his time throwing back muffins and drinking Moscow Mules, the “Independence Day” star revealed, “They started calling me Pudge Muffin.”
And after coming home and weighing in at 225 pounds — “the most I had weighed in my adult life” — Will knew something needed to change.
“I know how to eat to make my body look muscular, but I actually don’t know how to eat to feel good, I don’t know how to eat to be healthy,” he explained.
But when it comes to alcohol, Will says it’s his “personal business.”
“I respect that it’s your show,” he said to Jada. “But at the end of the day, this is a house we share.”
Later admitting, “But on vacation… it was a lot.”
“Red Table Talk” episodes drop every Monday on Facebook Watch.
