“Walker, Texas Ranger” may be coming back to TV with a new face.
According to Deadline, CBS TV Studios is shopping a reboot of the classic Chuck Norris series with “Supernatural” star Jared Padalecki taking the lead.
The new Cordell Walker is a widower returning home after two years undercover to find trouble at home. He is partnered with one of the few female Texas Rangers to fight for what’s right.
Padalecki is currently heading into the fifteenth and final season of “Supernatural” on the CW, which is the top contender to air the “Walker” reboot.
The original “Walker, Texas Ranger” ran for eight seasons from 1993 to 2001.
