Surfers by day, bank robbers by night, undercover cops… it’s the stuff that made “Point Break”; a cult classic in the ’90s. And now it’s getting a reboot thanks to Alcon Entertainment, recently confirming that Ericson Core will lead the charge to remake Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 hit starring Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves.
But, the question is who will hit the waves as Bodhi, originally played by the late Patrick, in the adrenaline rush? And who will fill Keanu’s FBI agent role as Johnny Utah?
Well we sat down exclusively with Keanu to chat about his new movie, “Generation Um”, and asked him if he is in on any secrets. On whether he is involved with the remake: “I am not, I am not. No I haven’t been asked for a cameo. But you know, I think it’s great.”
But, just because he hasn’t been approached yet, doesn’t mean it won’t happen… he hinted he might just accept the offer. “A cameo… I don’t know, but I think it’s cool,” he admits to ET Canada.
