On Sept. 26, 1969, a TV pilot hit the airwaves, telling the story of a single mom to three girls and a single dad of three boys who got married and blended their families. It didn’t take long for the network to realize it was more than just a hunch that “The Brady Bunch” would become an instant hit and a permanent part of the pop-culture landscape.
On the 50th anniversary of the iconic sitcom, some of the series’ stars are taking to social media to pay tribute to “The Brady Bunch” on the occasion of the show’s milestone birthday.

Christopher Knight (a.k.a. middle son Peter) marvelled at the show’s enduring popularity after half a century. “But as you can see we have stood the test of time and probably will forever thanks to all of you who have shown us so much support over the years!” he wrote in a celebratory Instagram post.
Barry Williams (oldest Brady boy Greg) took to Twitter to wish a happy 50th anniversary “to all my Brady siblings and to ALL the wonderful fans of the #BradyBunch!”
Maureen McCormick (eldest Brady daughter Marcia) likewise paid tribute to the show via Twitter, writing that the show’s “crew, cast, extended family members, and fans of the show will always hold a very special place in my heart.”
While the show’s been off the air for decades, the cast are together again for “A Very Brady Renovation” and joined by HGTV stars to renovate the iconic Los Angeles house used in exterior shots of the Brady home, aiming to renovate the place so the interior looks just like the groovy 1970s set of the show.
