Duane Chapman is dealing with a life-threatening condition.
The “Dog the Bounty Hunter” tells “The Dr. Oz Show” he is suffering from a pulmonary embolism. Chapman, 66, tells Dr. Mehmet Oz, “I’m not afraid to die” in a teaser published on Thursday.
“You’re not going to be here with the heart the way it is right now,” Dr. Oz tells Chapman. He describes the bounty hunter as “a ticking time bomb.”
Chapman says he learned of his diagnosis after being rushed to the hospital less than two weeks ago with chest pains. The reality star says he is on blood thinners, eating healthier and working on kicking his smoking habit.
The troubling news comes to light three months to the day of his wife’s passing. Beth Chapman died on June 26 due to complications from cancer.
