Kanye West is coming to the big screen — the really big screen.
The rapper and singer, 42, announced on Saturday that he has partnered with IMAX to release a new documentary film, “Jesus Is King.” The film will debut around the globe on Oct. 25 and will feature songs from his new gospel album of the same name.
IMAX unveiled some of the details about the project in a statement.

“Filmed in the summer of 2019, ‘Jesus Is King’ brings Kanye West’s famed Sunday Service to life in the Roden Crater, visionary artist James Turrell’s never-before-seen installation in Arizona’s Painted Desert,” the company said. “This one-of-a-kind experience features songs arranged by West in the gospel tradition along with music from his new album Jesus Is King — all presented in the immersive sound and stunning clarity of IMAX.”

IMAX will reportedly be releasing more details about the documentary in the coming weeks.
The album Jesus Is King was originally scheduled to be released on Friday, Sept. 27. However, it was delayed 2 days and is expected to be released Sunday. West’s wife Kim Kardashian revealed the tracklist on Twitter back in August.
West shared a sneak peek of his film at listening parties for the album held on Friday.
