Mark Ronson is all about love.
Ronson and King Princess, the first artist signed to Ronson’s Zelig Records, remixed “Happy Together” for Tiffany & Co.’s latest campaign. The luxury company is promoting their new Tiffany & Love fragrances for him and her.
Ronson opened up about the meanings of love and connection. “I feel like certainly, making music, if there’s not a connection it’s really unlikely you’re going to make something good,” he said. “The connection can be friendship, it can be a workplace, whatever it is, that’s what we thrive on.”
“To create something with someone you have to have a certain level of trust and bond and care about that person,” Ronson continued. “At least about their ideas if not their feelings. Connection is the centrepiece of what we do.”
When asked to define modern love, Ronson replied, “a really good David Bowie song.” Adding, “There are many different ways to love. There’s the way you love your family, there’s the way you love your friends, the way you love your partner. I just try and be there for the people I care about.”
The new Tiffany & Love fragrances, For HER and For HIM, are available at Shopper’s Drug Mart and Hudson’s Bay.
