“Green Lantern” is not in the lexicon of Ryan Reynolds and Taika Waititi.

The two actors co-star in Canadian director Shawn Levy’s new movie “Free Guy”. In a humorous promo for the movie, Reynolds and Waititi talk about how excited they are to finally work together.

“I’m really most here for Taika,” Reynolds said in the video. “I’ve been a huge fan of his for a while, and it’s super cool to do a movie with him.”

“Yeah. Ditto for me as well. I’ve known about Ryan for a long time,” Waititi added. “We’ve always been trying to meet up or connect or work together, so to finally get that chance to be in the same thing together for the first time ever was actually super exciting.”

Their back-and-forth garnered confusion from their co-stars, “Killing Eve” actress Jodie Comer and “Stranger Things” actor Joe Keery. While Keery then suggested Reynolds and Waititi worked together on “Green Lantern” (they did).

Reynolds and Waititi denied it, suggesting Keery and Comer were thinking of “Fried Green Tomatoes” or “Green Hornet”. “Neither of us is Seth Rogen,” Waititi retorted ignoring the 2011 flop.

The “Free Guy” stars and director also took part in a 20th Century panel at New York Comic-Con. The film premieres July 3.
