Hannah Brown is opening up about her time on “The Bachelor” franchise, her post-show fame, and her life as a single woman.
In an interview with Marie Claire, the former pageant queen, now considered a feminist icon, isn’t holding back.
“I wasn’t planning this whole time to be, like, this empowered woman,” she told the magazine. “I am. And I do feel that way. But the thing that I told myself I was going to be was real.”
Part of her plan to be “real” was speaking openly about sex.
“I’m not this sex goddess. But I’m okay with talking about sex,” she said.
One thing that Brown couldn’t believe was real was all the attention she received after her time as The Bachelorette.
“Getting Instagram followers when I got back home was freaking me out. Everybody gains followers, but it was like, ‘Okay, I’m about to have a life with another human, and that’s what I’m going to be focusing on’. And that didn’t happen. So now I have all these random humans who are really interested in me and what I have to offer. And I’m like, ‘I actually have a lot to offer, don’t I?’”
Despite the fame that came with being on the reality show, the 25-year-old didn’t plan on joining Colton Underwood’s season of “The Bachelor”.
“I didn’t aspire to be on ‘The Bachelor’. I didn’t watch the show. I thought it was for losers truly,” she revealed.
Of course, things didn’t quite work out for the “Dancing With The Stars” star who left both “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” single — but that doesn’t mean she’s losing sleep over it.
“I am totally okay on my own. I don’t want to have to have a man to feel whole. It’s not that I need that to feel like I have a full life. No, I have a full life. Welcome into my life.”
