The long-awaited wide theatrical release of “Joker” is already bringing in big bucks. Thursday’s advanced screenings have grossed a record-breaking $13.3 million at the box office, according to official studio estimates — per Entertainment Weekly.
The record was previously held by “Venom”. The Joaquin Phoenix-led film will also enjoy the widest October release of all-time with 4,374 locations booked to release the film on Friday, as reported by Deadline.

If Warner Bros.’ “Joker” can clear $80.3 million at the box office this weekend, it will surpass Sony’s “Venom” as the biggest October opening weekend of all-time.
