“Kids Say the Darndest Things” returns to primetime television, and this time it’s being hosted by none other than Tiffany Haddish, who’s been known to say some pretty darndest things herself.

Not only is “she ready” to show off her new gig, but the comedian is also gearing up for her milestone 40th birthday on Dec. 3.

While catching up with ET Canada correspondent Keshia Chante on set of the new series, Haddish reveals that she won’t exactly be throwing a conventional birthday party.

“I wanna have a bat mitzvah. I’m getting mitzvah’d on December 3,” she hilariously shares.

“I got a rabbi and everything. You think I’m playing? I am dead serious. I will have Hebrew and everything.”

However, “The Kitchen” star’s bat mitzvah isn’t the only thing she’s getting ready for — she also has her new role as the host of the latest iteration of “Kids Say the Darndest Things”.

The hilarious re-imagined format of the variety show will showcase a mix of studio segments and taped pieces, all played in front of a live studio audience.

Not only will the series capture Haddish’s hilarious self, but it will also show off real kids and their points of view.

“I’m just honest. And that’s what I love about these kids. They’re just honest,” she says of the series.

“I know the old saying, oh kids should be seen and not heard, and I remember being that kid and hating that saying, and wishing people would listen to me just a little bit. Because I might be a kid, but I’m not all the way crazy.”

One thing these children are honest about with Haddish – her dating life.

“One young lady told me, ‘just stay single like a pringle Tiff, single like a pringle.’ I said ‘you know what, I like that.’ But she has no idea what it’s like to be grown,” the actress recalls.
