Prince William and Kate Middleton are about to undertake their “most complex” tour to date.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit Pakistan from Oct. 14-18 but due to “security considerations,” the trip has some extra logistical aspects to it a Kensington Palace spokesperson said.
The four-day programme will mainly focus of the royal couple while they “pay respect to the historical relationship between Britain and Pakistan,” but also “largely focus on showcasing Pakistan as it is today–a dynamic, aspirational and forward-looking nation.”
The specifics of the trip have yet to be announced. Usually for a royal tour around two weeks before the finer details of the engagements will be laid out but, once again, due to security they have not been published.
A statement did say that the tour will “span over 1000 km, and will take in Pakistan’s rich culture, its diverse communities, and its beautiful landscapes” including stops in Islamabad, Lahore and the North and West of the country.
