Netflix just released the first trailer of their holiday movie “Klaus”.
From the creators of “Despicable Me” comes the 2D animated feature that unravels the origin story of the man himself, Santa Claus. Recently, animation has been created in 3D CGI, but this film draws (quite literally) from more traditional techniques while layering with modern digital styles. The best from both worlds.

Using that technology, “Klaus” tells the story of a disgruntled postal worker Jesper (Jason Schwartzman) who is assigned to a super-remote, super-cold town in the Arctic Circle. To make things worse, the town is filled with people who take pride in their unfriendliness. But Jesper and his new friend Klaus (J.K. Simmons), take matters into their own frigid hands and spread all the joy.
Schwartzman and Simmons are joined by Joan Cusack, Will Sasso, and Norm Macdonald.
“Klaus” comes out in select theatres on November 8 and hits Netflix November 15.
